On Monday, February 6, 2023, Google announced the launch (in the form of a test with "trusted testers" before the final deployment to the general public) of Bard, a conversational AI powered by its language model for dialogue applications. The group indicates it wants to soon offer “AI-powered features in the search engine, which provide complex information and multiple perspectives in accessible formats.”

Specifically, Bard allows Google to respond to ChatGPT, the AI with a broad range of applications from OpenAI that has been shaking up the web since its famous launch. Undeniably, 2023 is the year of AI par excellence: the launch of ChatGPT has truly sent a loud alarm signal to the Tech Giants!
