Titouan Parcollet, lecturer at the Laboratoire Informatique d’Avignon (LIA) and co-founder of SpeechBrain with Mirco Ravanelli, states:

We are very happy to have ViaDialog as the first private French sponsor. Since the official launch of SpeechBrain in March 2021, we have been on an unprecedented dynamic within the Speech community. The collaboration with ViaDialog will help accelerate the industrialization aspects of SpeechBrain and explore new topics together.

For her part, Ariane Nabeth-Halber, director of the AI department at ViaDialog, explains:

The AI department at ViaDialog is experiencing strong growth to propose radical innovations in customer relations, where voice and conversational interfaces occupy a prominent place. ViaDialog already offers the most robust natural language voice reception on the market, with sovereign technology, production volumes in millions of calls per month, and a state-of-the-art NLU (Natural Language Understanding). To invent the voice services of tomorrow, the partnership with SpeechBrain seemed natural, as it is where today’s researchers advance the state of the art in speech. Thus, we contribute to an open science project while ensuring hyper-innovative and sovereign services for our clients.

ViaDialog signed this SpeechBrain sponsorship with the University of Avignon and the Laboratoire Informatique d’Avignon (LIA), where Titouan Parcollet conducts his work on the SpeechBrain project and his research on self-supervised learning. The LIA indeed has a strong research activity in the field of voice, speech, and end-to-end approaches.
